This ranking was first published in 2011 by SplashData, based on stolen passwords of big companies like Yahoo, LinkedIn, eHarmony, and Last.fm after crackers broke in their servers and published them in the WWW.

If you don’t see yours on the list, don’t feel to secure cause most of the commonly passwords have one thing in common: Too easy to guess! A good password has aside of letters, many numbers and special characters like ?!$%&_

Birthdays, names of girlfriends, wifes, the own loginname, names of dogs, cats and mice are recommended not to be used. As well avoid the use of the same password on different accounts. In a separate page, I will write more profounded about this important matter.
